We are now open for the 2022 climbing season!

We have completed the COVID-19 compliance checklist issued by the state of Maine.

And we are closely monitoring and complying with CDC recommendations.

As climbers and guides risk management is what we do, and we are taking careful precautions to keep our clients, staff and community safe during this time. These are challenging times, but we’re committed to providing a safe and fun experience outdoors. In compliance with the state of Maine and the recommendations of the CDC, we have implemented the following protocols:

  • Our staff and guides will have their temperature taken at the beginning of each work day, and will not report to work if they are symptomatic.

  • Guides will have readily available hand sanitizer, cleaning products and spare face coverings on every course.

  • Guides will also have a personal face covering on them at all times, and it will be worn when social distancing is not feasible both in our offices and in the field.

  • Climbing group sizes will be limited based on the current group size guidelines recommended by the state.

  • All rental equipment and bags used to transport rental equipment will be sanitized after each course.

  • Food, water, drinks and snacks will not be provided or shared.

  • Guides and clients will drive separately to the climbing location.

  • We will continue to only provide privately guided courses. Clients will not be placed in a group outside their own.

  • We will continue to welcome clients to our office to meet their guide and be outfitted with rental gear. However, we will be staggering course times to limit one group at a time in our office, and sanitizing any shared items (clipboards, pens, etc.) between groups.

  • We encourage clients to book reservations and pay over the phone.

  • Guides will sanitize their personal gear after each course.

We are all in this together. In addition to the precautions we are taking, we also ask that our clients take reasonable steps to protect our staff, our guides and others out at the crag. Clients are encouraged to:

  • Wear face coverings and comply with social distancing practices.

  • Bring and use their own hand sanitizer.

  • Bring and use their own climbing equipment if they have it.

  • Cancel or reschedule their course if they are symptomatic, or have been in contact with a person who is known to be COVID-19 positive in the last 14 days.

  • Comply with state regulations for quarantine if visiting from out of state.
